M Cory Bentley
La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, Bailliage National du Vietnam would like to give a warm welcome to M Cory Bentley into our venerated global organization.
M Bentley hails from Timmins, Ontario, Canada, eight hours north of Toronto and the birthplace of the famous Country Music singer, Shania Twain. He graduated from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, with an Honours Degree in International Relations.
During his studies, M Bentley travelled to Japan on numerous occasions to further his studies. Later, he worked for the Japanese government, but during a Golden Week holiday trip in 2015, he travelled to Vietnam and discovered Hanoi. The rest, and a subsequent trip in 2016 quickly amounted to what is now history.
M Bentley has been living in Vietnam for almost five years now where he leads the AI-driven digital marketing platform, Xperx, which is based in Ho Chi Minh City.
Armed with extensive dining experiences from Japan, Northern Vietnam and Southern Vietnam, M Bentley still considers Northern Vietnamese food, whether it be Bun Cha or Pho Bo, to be his go-to comfort food.
With wine, it’s a different story. Although, Malbec was always at the tip of his vernacular growing up, M Bentley, in his quest to find the most appealing wines, says he now likes to look beyond just the varietals that he would enjoy most. He is keen on looking into appellations, vintages, the stories behind the wine and the conditions which influence the drink’s intricate factors such as soil, temperature, and preparation, that would lead to the distinct and unique flavours experienced.
La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs celebrates those who want to experience gastronomy, expand their knowledge, and partake in the pleasures of the upscale hospitality arts. We appreciate M Bentley’s passion and for this reason, we nominate him as Chevalier in our organization.
